Rejoice, fans of the Nissan 370Z
, Infiniti FX50
, and Mitsubishi Evo
--Nissan/Infiniti dealers and Mitsubishi dealers are footing the bill for their cars to make a showing at Detroit's North American International Auto Show in January. And to be certain--it's just their cars that will be making a showing, sans models, fancy displays, signage, and other requisite auto show bling.
As Joe Serra, the Detroit Auto Show's co-chairman, told Automotive news, "The cars are going to be the stars."
When Nissan and Mitsubishi pulled out of the show recently, show organizers filled the vacant space with Chinese exhibitors. They say that floor space is now being "reallocated" to include the three Japanese automakers in time for January's show.
