Our giveaway hits day four with the winner of our previous post--it's Mark, who gets a SEMA rolling backpack for his comment on our post on the 22-pound UAW-Ford labor contract:
That’s exactly the reason Congress is letting them go to bankruptcy, to get out from under this labor mess. I have friends that laughed at these contracts and the fact that they go to work and sit around and play and eat and have fun when their plant isn’t producing. The friend then builds a huge new house, buys two new cars, all with the knowledge that he will always have income wheather he is working or not, due to these contracts. The on days that he doesn’t have to sit at the plant, he goes out and works ‘on the side’ as a ‘handy man’ putting on roofs, siding, building decks, etc. while then making two incomes. Someone had to know that we would pay for this in the long run. Well, the finish line is here and we are getting ready to pay up.
Congrats to Mark, who nailed our experience living in Dearborn, Mich., to the T despite the obvious spelling issues.
Now we're moving on to a new prize: an Audiovox digital picture frame. This baby has a 7-inch screen, a 3-in-1 card reader, and a USB port, so you can plug in all your memories before they're sullied by an out-of-control New Year's Eve party. No pictures are preloaded on it--we made sure to erase them to avoid prosecution.
You know the rules--comment on any story within the next 24 hours or so, and we'll choose the winner who makes the most coherent, most articulate, and funniest riposte to one of our stories. Stay tuned later this week--we'll be giving away iGo chargers, hats, jump drives, pens, and a bongo drum. Matthew McConaughey will be so jealous, he may put on a shirt.
