2010 Ford Mustang Colors: Really?

December 12, 2008
Everybody's got a soft spot for Mustangs, right? They're sporty and sexy, and for a lot of American teens they're a rite of passage--often, our first car. Mine was a foxy, gun-metal gray stick-shift with tinted glass t-tops (as was the fashion in those days). The timing belt was always breaking and the electrical system was unpredictable at best, but it was fun while it lasted. Sigh.

That said, I'm having some issues with the publicity shots of the 2010 Ford Mustang. Don't get me wrong--the silhouette is awesome in that classic, muscle car way. But that blue that they're calling "Grabber Blue"? I can't get past it. It kinda reminds me of this Duster that my friend Michael had back in high school. Man, I hated that kid. It also reminds me of bubblegum-flavored snowcones, which used to make me nauseated at the amusement park. But it's also...well, is it me, or is that color just unpleasant?

Can I get a show of hands: how many of you would choose this as your first pick of colors?--Richard Read
