Porsche confirms this morning that the new Cayman S Sport arrives in showrooms in October and will wear a price tag of $69,900.
The new Sport edition of the Cayman delivers 8 hp more to the 3.4-liter flat six, for a total of 303 hp. It also gets a cosmetic kit that gives it a passing resemblance to the 911 GT3, with green or orange paint, black rims and exterior mirrors, black grilles, and a black interior. "Cayman S" is splashed down the sides, and Porsche Active Suspension Management is standard, along with 19-inch wheels, xenon headlamps, the Sport Chrono package, new seats and some Alcantara trim inside. It'll also be offered in black, red, yellow, white, and silver, in case you have any intention of reselling it someday.
Only about 100 of the Cayman S Sports will come to the U.S., along with 50 roadsters. The latter is a special Boxster with white paint and white finish on its wheels, air intakes, center console, and instruments.
