Try as you might to ignore the 2009 Kia Soul, the Korean automaker is intent on letting you know something about the upcoming four-door wagon on a monthly basis.
In advance of this week's London motor show, Kia let loose with the details on the Soul's engines. The four-cylinders range from 1.6 liters to 2.0 liters, and one of the three engines is a 1.6-liter diesel with a variable-geometry turbocharger.
The 2009 Soul is a front-drive wagon, 161.6 inches long, 100.4 inches in wheelbase, 63.4 inches tall, and 70.3 inches wide, minus the side mirrors. Kia says it's going to start building the Soul in November and will put it on sale in April of 2009 in the United States.
And yet, the story is not over. The official worldwide introduction of the Soul is to take place this fall at the Paris auto show. So that takes care of October's Soul news. Keep it clean (unlike the graffiti here) and the comment that makes us laugh the loudest gets some fun schwag from the Lotus Evora press conference held this morning.
