Nissan's mid-size truck and SUV siblings are getting a range of updates for the 2009 model year.
The 2009 Nissan Xterra, the sport-ute for folks who think Swiss Army knives aren't useful enough, gets more updates to go with its revised front end. New wheels are a part of its annual upgrade, along with off-road lights on the Off-Road model, new seat upholstering, and curtain airbags. For a short while after it goes on sale next month, the 2009 Nissan Xterra will get the contents of its Technology package included free as standard equipment--that means Bluetooth, steering-wheel audio controls, an iPod jack, a Rockford Fosgate sound system, and for automatic-equipped models, XM Satellite Radio--on S, Off-Road and SE models.
The 2009 Nissan Frontier, meanwhile, gets its own new nose and headlights, along with fresh 16- and 18-inch wheel designs. There's also a new PRO-4X off-road package, with Bilstein shocks, skid plates, a limited-slip differential, and distinct alloy wheels, along with some interior trim, cruise control, and power windows/locks/mirrors. Other Frontiers get a redesigned radio and climate-control stack (V-6 versions) and some new seat trim.
