2010 Saab 9-4X Spied, Under All Those Bras

Follow Marty

These are the first true pictures of the 2010 Saab 9-4X crossover vehicle, just captured by our spy photographers undergoing track testing.

We first saw this body style at the Detroit Auto Show, being touted at as the 9-4X BioPower Concept, but Saab is obviously serious about bringing this to the marketplace in a timely fashion.

Codenamed GMT168, the Saab 9-4X will arrive in time for the 2010 model year. Sharing the platform with the upcoming Cadillac BRX, the Saab 9-4X will be built in at the Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. And unlike the larger 9-7X sport-utility vehicle, this will be sold globally.

Styling – as you can easily see underneath quite a lot of automotive lingerie -- will be very close to that of the concept, and powerplants will include a range of gasoline, as well as a new 250-horsepower diesel. The 9-4X will also offer Saab’s XWD all-wheel-drive system.--Brian Williams for Brenda Priddy & Company

  1. Frankly, all these "spy shots" articles, and especially the pictures themselves, are not worth the paper they are printed on.

The automags kill millions of trees publishing the same stupid and utterly uninformative spy shots,

and even on the Web, many who disagree with me might actually print out this stuff. In color too!

  5. Dave,

great insight! So, you must then be crying in your sleep b/c German BMW's and MB's are made in the S.E. United States, China, or Indida. Wake up dude! It's a global market and every major player has factories in local markets (VW and Toyota both make cars in Mexico) and buys parts from local suppliers. Stop your crying!

  8. What difference does it make as long as the business building them has the same quality standards across ALL its factories. This Europe-built preference is such racist hogwash, you people need to check yourselves
