Ford Flex Getting Funkmaster Touch?

Follow Marty

One thing you’d never expect from the competition is a performance minivan, but Ford expects to give some kick to Flex, TheCarConnection.com has learned. Look for a special edition version launching around the end of 2008 and developed by Ford’s hip-hop partner, Funkmaster Flex. Expect to see a two-tone edition with additional, contrasting highlights, interior stitching and other distinctive touches, as well as a pumped-up version of the 3.5-liter V-6 that, we’re told, should add somewhere between 50 and 75 horsepower to the base engine.

  1. Ford may be on to something here. Love the two -tone. Maybe this time they will come up with an interior that looks decent.

  5. This is now looking like another First for Ford.

Having seen other pictures etc on tv .........this could be a definite NEW trend setter..............like the origional mustang was when it hit the world stage.

Alas poor Chrysler will be behind the 8 ball again.............and GM wellllllllll they arn't even in the game.

This should give the Pearl Harbor boys a run for the money.

  6. No wonder the Flex failed to wow... it's nothing more than a regurgitation of the old GMC Suburban from the '70's. Why am I not surprised that Ford is in trouble?

  7. I love the retro/modern style that Ford has done here. It's about time they game out with something with a fresh unique look.
