Eight Cylinders, and the H3 Makes More Sense

Follow Marty

Pardon us for not getting too excited about the HUMMER H3. We tried five-cylinders back in the Audi days and in terms of power and sex appeal, “flat” became a keyword. Now HUMMER’s fixed the primary failing of the H3 and stuffed its 5.3-liter V-8 under the hood. And where V-8s make Buicks “Super,” the V-8 makes the H3 an “Alpha.” The redubbed H3 gets the V-8, Alpha badges, and lots of added gear. We’re betting on a $40K pricetag when it’s all said and done—but is there really any other option? Oh yeah, navigation system. Check. We got you covered.
