Which top PR man at one of the domestics is widely rumored to be on his way out the door? His underlings are talking about his lack of chemistry with the top exec and growing signs of disengagement with the job. His tenure has been bumpy during a difficult period. And he’s said to be headed out of Detroit and out of the car business.

You know, for the past few years all I've heard about is how American manufacturers put too much emphasys on suvs and pickups, never mind that with each passing day Toyota and others are building larger and less fuel efficient vehicles to critical acclaim. Why, even VW, with monstrosities such as the Audi Q7 has jumped into the fray. Crossovers you say? Car based? Yeah, right, I believe that especially when such car based utes weigh just about as much as truck based utes.

    One other thing: Consumer Reports blindly picked the Honda Rigeline as the best pickup. Really? I don't know of anyone who really uses their pickup would choose this modern El Camino knock off.

  2. it has to be what's his name from ford, uh, wait a minute, oh yeah -- it's charlie holeron. he looked TERRIBLE on autoline detroit a few weeks back!
