Kia Intros KND-4 Concept – In Seoul

April 5, 2007

Kia’s latest concept SUV is on display – but you’ll have to catch a flight to Seoul’s Incheon airport to see it.

Kia says the new KND-4 concept, on the Seoul auto show floor today, will reassert the brand’s 4x4 street cred. Painted in “luminous green,” the new vehicle gives an idea of what a future small Kia SUV might look like, and how “Designology” – their term for design and technology – is influencing the next generation of products from the company.

The engine in the concept is a 2.2-liter diesel mated to all-wheel drive.

Exterior details on the new concept include LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, and 20-series tires, and a sharp shoulder line. Inside, the four-seater has a metallic-trim dash with ambient lighting and a center display screen to control vehicle functions.

Those functions and features include a Blu-Ray disc player and a built-in hard drive for audio storage.
