Tata Motors of India celebrated its 10th visit to theGeneva auto show with the introduction of the Elegante Concept.
Tata is part of the Tata Group, India’s well-know and best respected industrial company. Tata Group had revenues of $22 billion in the 2005-06 fiscal year.
The Elegante shows the design direction Tata will take with its upcoming revamps of the Indica and Indigo compacts. The concept car is larger than the current Indigo sedan and can be equipped with four-cylinder gas or diesel engines with a capacity between 1.4 and 2.0 liters. A compact V-6 also will be offered.
The new Tatas would also meet European safety, crash, and emission standards, and would offer features such as satellite navigation, Bluetooth compatibility, and rear parking sensors.
