Lamborghini will bring a special edition of the
Gallardo supercar to next week’s
Geneva show.
The new
version will be called Superleggera, and sources say it will weigh about 220
pounds less than the current car, putting it just shy of 3000 pounds.
Lamborghini also will boost
the output of its 5.0-liter V-10 engine, pushing it up 10 hp to a total of 530
hp. Acceleration times to 60 mph should drop to less than four seconds, while top speed
will rise to just under 200 mph.
Stay tuned for more on the
superlight Lamborghini as TheCarConnection covers the
Geneva show next
week.
