The finalists for the annual World Car of the Year have been announced prior to the award ceremony at April's New York auto show.
The finalists include the Audi Q7 and TT; the Citroën C4 Picasso and Citroë n C6; Fiat's Grande Punto; the Jaguar XK; the Lexus LS 460; Mercedes-Benz's CL; the new MINI Cooper; and Suzuki's SX4 and its spin-off, the Fiat Sedici.
Organizers say the ten finalists were selected from a pool of global vehicles, voted on by a group of 48 automotive journalists. The awards also include trophies for World Performance Car, World Green Car and World Car Design of the Year.
The New York show awards will be held on April 5, 2007.
