Jeep has released these photos of the upcoming Trailhawk concept.
The new concept SUV will be shown for the first time at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in
Jeep says the Trailhawk concept is a cross between the Wrangler and the more upscale Grand Cherokee. Based on the underpinnings of the 2007 Wrangler, the Trailhawk “taps into ‘Jeep Rugged’ attributes,” the company says.
Jeep says the concept is built around the ideas of unsurpassed off-road capability and a “new approach to open-air freedom.” The name is inspired by the appearance of the headlamps – slashed on a diagonal and looking, Jeep says, like a bird of prey.
The interior, Jeep adds, is defined by a cross-vehicle instrument panel and a long central tunnel with console space built atop it. Movable compartments slide along the central track for flexible storage needs. A Load 'N Go cargo tray adds more utility to the cargo area.
