Audi TT
Sometimes you just can't wait. So Audi has decided to give
a sneak peek of what it will formally unveil at Javits Center. It provided a
brief look at the new, 2007 TT Coupe during a Berlin briefing, and as rumored,
the new 2-seater will come in a wee bit longer and wider. The look is familiar,
though there's a bit more sculpting to the '07 model. Ironically, the car that
influenced Nissan's 350Z now looks a bit more like the Asian import. The new
version will be offered with a pair of powertrains, including a 2.0-liter I-4
that can still deliver spirited 0-60 times, Audi claims, of 6.4 seconds.
The 3.2-liter V-6 gets quattro all-wheel-drive, and cuts nearly a full second
off that launch time, and boasts a limited top speed of 155 mph. Both engines
will be mated to a 6-speed stick or an optional, sequential manual gearbox.
