Your iPod gets lonely, too. And no, all those half-clothed videos you've downloaded on it won't keep it company. What you need is something almost totally useless-something like Corgi's iCar, a desktop totem that plugs into your iPod and turns an ordinary model of an Escalade or a 240SX into a dancing machine. We kid you not: you can pimp out your 1:24-scale model of choice and let the iCar send it spinning, shaking and blinking, something our old Yugo admittedly does every morning on the way into work. Like we said, it seems utterly useless-a sentiment echoed by the singing bass fish mounted on our wall. Available this summer; click here for more information.

Your spanking-new iPod needs to be spanked, indeed-it didn't come with any way to interface with your car's retro stereo faceplate. Short of rewiring it for MP3 capability (and, while you're at it, why not total surround-sound airbags?), you can just snap up one ofGriffin's new iTrip Auto adapters, which powers your 'Pod while beaming its signal through FM waves right into your radio. It's good for iPods including the new wafer-thin Nano and iPod with video. See http://www.griffintechnology.com/ for ordering and pricing.

You've always been a transformer. You were first on the block to take a newspaper and turn it into a hat, or a brooch, or a pterodactyl (reader alert: movie reference! Guess it, send a note to the editor, and we'll send the first right answer a little lagniappe). So get ready to transform your phone into a Mustang sound-alike. Ford now has a pair of ringtones inspired by its pony car, one a version of the Star-Spangled Banner as rendered by the Mustang's exhaust note, the second the sounds of a Mustang running through the gears. The two free ringtones are available now at Ford's Mustang Web site. Computer wallpapers are available at the site as well, showing off the GT convertible, the hardtop GT, and the Mustang pony logo.
