8/17 Virginia Motorsports Park, Dinwiddie, VA – PRO COMPACT: It wasn’t a question of ‘if’ Street Glow/Bullish Motor Sports would win the class event title, but ‘who’. Ara Arslanian defeated teammate George Ioannou, with a 6.840, 201.580, to 6.860, 202.760. PRO OUTLAW RWD: In the battle of the rear wheel drives, it was the Performance Factory NYC Toyota Supra of Vinny Ten reigning supreme, running as 7.70, 174.660 to defeat Osofast Racing’s Brent Rau, who ran an 8.020, 170.360 in his Mitsubishi Eclipse. PRO OUTLAW FWD: Not only the quickest and fastest female in all of sport compact drag racing, but the fastest FWD period now, Lisa Kubo in the APC/Saturn Motorsports Saturn Ion ran an 8.30 in qualifying to claim that distinction. Then in the finals, Kubo bettered that mark, running an 8.280, 176.050, to down current Pro Outlaw FWD points leader, Steven Thomson’s Honda Civic, who ran a 9.860, 107.990. PRO 4-CYLINDER: Jojo Callos, in the Castrol Syntec/Team Tactics Acura Integra, had a scary moment in the finals, as Lance Holung lost control of his Honda and crossed the centerline narrowly missing Callos. STREET TIRE: Paul Efantis’ MSP Motorsports Toyota Supra continues on a tear, winning with a 8.420, 168.280, to
