This car will provide a look at what could be an S-type derived roadster destined for production. It could be another building block in the plan to increase Jaguar’s production volume and amortize the expensive S-type platform shared with the Lincoln LS, Ford Thunderbird and Jaguar S-type (and coming 2003 Ford Mustang).
This concept, aimed at the Baby Boom generation, could be what would happen if a ’49 Willys Jeep met a Lexus RX300 and had offspring. It may indicate the styling of the next Jeep Cherokee, due to being production early next year.
Audi Allroad V8
This is a production version of Audi’s A6 Avant based concept that made its debut at last year’s NAIAS. It a more aggressive appearance that mates Audi style with the same basic concept as a Subaru Outback wagon.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
The drop-top Eclipse is back for 2001. As with the Eclipse coupe, it will be available with four- and six-cylinder engines.
Ford 24.7 Concepts
Available as either a pickup, sedan or wagon, the 24.7 is aimed Echo Boomers who desire "simplicity, honesty and connectivity." A reconfigurable instrument panel with Internet access will be showcased with these three concepts.
