The current Tahoe was launched as a new 2007 model in 2006, so updates for the 2008 model year are modest. The engine lineup includes a 4.8-liter, 295-horsepower V-8 on base models, and an optional 5.3-liter, 320-horsepower V-8 with E85/flex-fuel capability and cylinder deactivation technology.
