Used BMW X5 Buying Tip

Refreshed for 2014, the BMW X5 continues as the largest vehicle to wear the roundel, while adding new features and options. With six- and eight-cylinder engines, all-wheel drive, and seating for up to seven, the X5 can be configured for many purposes. When looking for a used X5, be sure all recalls and updates have been performed before buying, as some recalls of the X5 have dealt with critical safety systems. Diesel models are surprisingly fuel efficient, but relatively rare. Stick to the second-generation X5, which began production in 2006, if you'd like a near-new look--it hasn't changed much until 2014, making earlier second-gen models potential bargains for the image-conscious.
