Used BMW 3-Series Buying Tip

The current sixth-generation ‘F30’ edition of the BMW 3-Series sedans, introduced for 2012, is the first of this model line to get a four-cylinder engine for the U.S. market since the 1990s. But don’t expect it to be any kind of penalty box; the base 328i model can get from zero to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds—faster than any of the base-model naturally aspirated six-cylinder models before it. It’s stronger at the low revs, too, so drivability benefits. The only thing missing is the old six’s enchanting song.
