The front-drive Reno compact hatchback sedan is based on the Forenza and is also manufactured in South Korea . For 2007, it offers a standard tire pressure monitoring system and a simplified ordering structure with just one trim level and only a few big ticket options, such as anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) or the Convenience Package, which adds remote keyless entry, steering wheel audio controls, cruise control, a security alarm, and leather-wrapped steering wheel. The standard drivetrain remains the 2.0-liter, 127-horsepower engine used in ’06, with the buyer’s choice of five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission with adaptive control system that alters shift points and firmness to match driving conditions. The Reno ’s interior is larger than many competitors and it is priced very competitively as well.
