Phantom
Now owned by BMW, the elegant and exclusive Phantom is the only Rolls-Royce model offered for 2005, and it's just the sixth model in the automaker's storied history to carry the Phantom name. It's an amalgam of British craftsmanship and German technology that's built off of a lightweight and durable aluminum space-frame construction. Its BMW-derived 6.8-liter V-12 engine generates a generous 453 horsepower. The opulent Phantom's standard convenience features are plentiful - bordering on the obscene - and include such luxuries as auto-closing rear-passenger doors. While you'll find Rolls-Royce's traditional "Spirit of Ecstasy" ornament atop its expected position on the hood, it retracts into the vehicle when parked for security's sake. Few, if any, changes are anticipated for the 2005 model year.
