Grand Prix 2005 Pontiac Grand PrixEnlarge PhotoThe muscularly styled mid-size Pontiac Grand Prix, which shares platforms and powertrains with the new Buick Lacrosse, remains virtually unchanged for 2005. It's powered in its standard form General Motors' longstanding 200-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 engine, while the top GTP model offers a supercharged 3.8 that generates a brisker 260 horsepower, and includes an enhanced traction control system. A four-speed automatic transmission is standard with both powertrains. An optional Competition Group (Comp G) for the GTP includes a high-performance version of GM's StabiliTrak stability system and a racing-inspired TAPshift (Touch Activated Power) that allows drivers to change gears on the automatic transmission manually via paddles located on the steering wheel, Formula-One racing style. 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix by Marc K.
