One of the very first luxury-sport crossover vehicles, the mid-size Murano is pretty much unchanged for 2007. A new 225-watt Bose premium audio system is available, and there's a redesigned "pod" for the optional DVD navigation system. Both XM and Sirius satellite radio are now available as well. As in '06, the Murano is offered with either standard front- or optional all-wheel drive; all versions are powered by a Maxima-derived, 240-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine that's fitted to a CVT with manual-operation mode. Four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with Brake Assist and Electronic Brakeforce distribution are standard; an available Dynamic Control Package includes stability and traction control and a tire pressure monitor. The Murano's exterior was updates in '06, including revised front grille and wheel designs, additional chrome accents, a brushed aluminum rear bumper protector and new LED taillamps. These changes carry over into 2007. Illuminated steering wheel controls, MP3 audio capability and a standard seven-inch LCD display are among the Murano's interior amenities. For 2007, a RearView monitor is now standard on SL and SE models, as is a tire pressure monitoring system.
