350Z
Nissan's rear-drive 350Z is a true driving enthusiast's car, with a rev-happy engine, precise handling, and sleek styling. Cornering abilities improve in higher trim levels, thanks to suspension and tire upgrades. A convertible version features a fully automatic power top and glass rear window that stow beneath a tonneau cover. The car's 3.5-liter, V-6 engine now generates 300 horsepower when mated to a six-speed close-ratio manual gearbox; it continues to produce 287 horsepower with the available five-speed-automatic transmission, however. 18-inch wheels and tires are newly standard for 2006, as are improved brakes and a new speed-sensitive power steering system. Anti-lock brakes are standard across the line, with front-side and side-curtain airbags, a navigation system, a choice of satellite radio systems, and an Aerodynamics Package optional. Updates for 2006 include revised bumper and grille styling, new LED brake lights, added xenon high-intensity headlamps, updated dashboard controls, freshened cloth seat material, a new navigation system, optional super-lightweight alloy wheels, and added exterior colors: Silver Alloy, Magnetic Black, and Interlagos Fire. A new Grand Touring coupe version adds Brembo brakes, front and rear spoilers, and Vehicle Dynamic Control to the content of the Touring model.
