Raider

New for 2006, the Raider pickup truck is based on the mid-size Dodge Dakota with specific configurations, sportier styling cues, and unique interior treatments. The Raider comes in extended- and short-bed/four-door double-cab versions. All ride on a fully boxed, hydroformed, and roll-formed steel frame. The Raider line encompasses three trim levels: LS, DuroCross, and XLS. A 3.7-liter, V-6 engine that produces 210 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque is standard on the LS and DuroCross, with a 4.7-liter V-8 engine that generates 230 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque optional (it's included with the XLS). Both rear- and four-wheel drive versions are offered. The LS comes with a choice of a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission; elsewhere in the line the four-speed comes with the V-6 and a five-speed automatic gearbox is fitted to the V-8. The top XLS version includes items like a Bluetooth hands-free cell phone interface, auto-dimming rearview mirror, a trailer tow package, and heated leather seats. Other available amenities include a premium audio system with a six-disc CD changer, and a Sirius satellite radio receiver.
