The 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor’s features list isn’t quite competitive with newer entries in the crowded crossover field.

The Endeavor comes in just two trim levels: LS and SE. “Both come with either front- or all-wheel drive,” says Edmunds, who lists the “Standard equipment on the LS” as “17-inch wheels, air-conditioning, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, cloth upholstery, full power accessories, keyless entry and a six-speaker audio system with CD player.” Moving up to the SE nets “leather upholstery, a power driver seat, a trip computer, heated front seats, a flip-up glass rear window and a nine-speaker Rockford Acoustics stereo with six-CD changer and satellite radio.”

Regarding the vehicle’s notable optional features, Kelley Blue Book notes they are arranged by trim level and include a tow package, all-wheel drive, a power sunroof, retractable cargo cover, fog lights, and navigation. A Special Edition Extra Value Package brings heated outside mirrors, a flip-up rear window, steering-wheel audio controls, leather seating, heated front seats, eight-way power driver's seat with manual lumbar support, 360-watt Rockford Acoustic Premium audio, Sirius Satellite Radio, and a color LCD center screen. No Bluetooth functionality is available.

Kelley Blue Book’s favorite feature on the Endeavor is its blue dash lighting, which they judge to have “a hip, youthful appeal.” They also like the four 12-volt power outlets; using multiple electronic accessories is a breeze inside the Endeavor.

Conclusion

The aging 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor comes with an adequate--but far from standout--features list.

Other Choices:

The mid-size SUV market is so rich with choice that there are easily two dozen vehicles you could compare to the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The Chevrolet Equinox and the Suzuki XL7 share many components, and both are value priced. Based on recent experiences with the Equinox, we'd only recommend it with the new 3.6-liter engine, and even then, we don't endorse it strongly. However, the bigger XL7 represents a very good value in a package that's about the same size as the Outlander.
