Grand Marquis

2005 updates for Mercury's version of the full-size Ford Crown Victoria include an improved front-passenger airbag that can adjust its deployment according to the presence and size of the front passenger. The car's dashboard comes with revised woodgrain appliqués, and new wheel choices and two-tone paint schemes are offered across the line. A 224-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 engine that drives the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission powers this roomy and traditionally styled sedan. Dual exhausts included with the optional Handling Package boost the engine output to 239 horsepower. Standard equipment includes four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, speed control, power mirrors, locks and windows, air conditioning, a CD stereo, and an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar support.
