Mazda's B-Series compact pickup (which shares a platform with the Ford Ranger) gets a tire pressure monitor and two new colors (Pueblo Gold and Vista Blue) for the new model year. Otherwise, this model is essentially unchanged from 2006. The B-Series is offered in three versions, with each powered by a different engine. The base B2300 comes with a 143-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder, while the B3000 is fitted with a 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 153 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque for better low-end muscle. The B4000 tops the line with its 4.0-liter V-6, which generates 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed-manual transmission is standard across the line, with a five-speed automatic optional. Towing capacity maxes out at 5,600 pounds. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are available, with regular and extended Cab Plus body styles, and in base, DE, and SE trim levels.
