Spyder

The two-seat Spyder convertible looks the part of an exotic Italian automobile, with race-car-inspired exterior styling crafted by Italdesign-Giugiaro. Its 4.2-liter V-8 engine produces an explosive 390-horsepower, and drives the wheels via either a conventional six-speed-manual transmission or a Cambiocorsa sequential-shift manual gearbox. The latter includes a "hill holder" function that engages the vehicle's brakes for on an incline while the driver moves his or her right foot from the brake to the gas pedal. Few, if any, changes will be offered for 2005.
