Town Car

For 2005 the limousine-like Town Car line is revised to encompass the Signature, Signature Limited, and the stretched Signature L trim levels. Other improvements include a new two-spoke steering wheel, updated front crash-severity sensors and the addition of weight and seat track position sensors for the front passenger's frontal airbag, along with added color choices. This remains a large and powerful car with a soft, cushy ride. Its 239-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 drives the rear wheels via a four-speed-automatic transmission. Four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, front side airbags, and traction control are standard. A wealth on included amenities include dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a CD stereo, power adjustable pedals, heated auto-dimming side mirrors, power leather seats, and rear reading lights. The Town Car's optional navigation system now includes THX-certified audio and satellite radio compatibility.
