Rio

Continuing for 2005 with only minor updates as among the least-expensive cars on the road, the subcompact Rio sedan and the Rio Cinco station wagon, come with a 104-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a five-speed-manual transmission; a four-speed-automatic is optional. While few amenities are included with the base version, the Rio does come with the same generous warranty coverage as costlier Kias. Features like power steering, anti-lock brakes, air conditioning, a CD stereo and a tilt steering wheel are optional or are included in higher trim levels.
