The 2009 Infiniti Ms come well equipped with standard features, while options packages increase technology, luxury, and comfort to new levels.

Options on the 2009 Infiniti M are available primarily as packages. "The Technology Package," says J.D. Power, "adds an upgraded Bose stereo, DVD-based navigation with voice recognition, a RearView monitor and a 9.3 gigabyte Music Box hard drive." The 2009 Infiniti M Advanced Technology Package, also according to J.D. Power, "upgrades the Bose [stereo] to a 5.1 channel Studio Surround system, Lane Departure Prevention system, and adds a DVD-video [sic] to the center console." Cars.com reports that the Studio Surround system comes with 14 speakers and can play DVD-Audio discs.

Kelley Blue Book reveals the Premium Package adds "dual-screen rear seat DVD video systems, heated and power-reclining rear seats and rear air conditioning." The Sport Package, J.D. Power reports, is equipped with "Rear Active Steer, sport-tuned suspension, sport front seats [with additional side bolstering], sport steering wheel, aluminum pedal accents, sport body styling, and 19-inch wheels."

The following additional features, according to Cars.com, are listed as standard on the Infiniti M: "push-button start, voice recognition [controlling radio, HVAC and phone], Bluetooth, and XM satellite radio (subscription sold separately), a ten-way power driver's seat, heated and cooled driver's and front passenger's seat and a vehicle information system with a seven-inch LCD screen."

Kelley Blue Book states of Infiniti 2009 M's standard equipment: "Complementing leather and wood [or] aluminum trim a bounty of power assists plus dual-zone climate control, 160-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with six-disc changer, Intelligent Key remote locking and ignition, one-touch power moonroof and a power tilt and telescoping steering column." The 2009 Infiniti M's steering wheel has "switches to operate the audio, cruise control, phone and vehicle information functions."

Other Choices:

With its 3.6-liter direct-injected V-6, the 2009 Cadillac STS is a solid performer with decent comfort, and it’s one of the closest rivals to the Infiniti M in offering a compromise between sport and luxury. The new 2009 Acura RL takes off in a new direction stylistically—which might appeal to some and repel others—and the primarily front-wheel-drive RL is at its best in all-wheel-drive (SH-AWD) form. The traditional German brands naturally slot in thanks to their reputations. However, the 2009 Infiniti M (either the M35 or M45) tends to be a nicer combination of comfortable appointments and a charismatic driving personality, leaving the Mercedes and Audi feeling perhaps overly conservative and technical.

    Infiniti M is for Misery

    My M35 Bluetooth would not synch with AT&T 8525. First Nissan refused to fix it though it froze my entire console. saying it wasn't on their list of phones. Bluetooth is a trademark a company can ONLY use if its devices are interoperable with others. Failure to comply is a violation of the trademark. Then Nissan relented and after 4 tries finally fixed the problem. Recently the A/C Condenser was struck by a stone. The car was under warranty but they refused to cover it. Damage by stone chips is an exclusion. Understandable for paint damage but if they design a grill only for air flow, not to protect the condenser that is a design defect. And their voice recognition, for telephone numbers may be the worst in the world. So, on the face of it, the M35 may look like a nice car and be fun to drive but God forbid you have to deal with Nissan for warranty repairs. Of the Japanese car manufacturers they are, no doubt, the worst to deal with. Buy at your own risk!
