Infiniti's mid-size G35 sedan receives a major update for 2007. The 3.5-liter V-6 engine now belts out 306 horsepower, 11 more than the top gun option last year (and 26 horsepower more than the standard G35 engine in 2006). Buyers can choose either a six-speed manual transmission or five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and F1-style paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The '07 G35 is available with rear-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive. Standard features include Intelligent Key with push button ignition, Fine Vision gauges with white and violet illumination, textured aluminum-alloy trim with "Washi" finish (a traditional Japanese handmade paper patterning) and 7-inch color LCD information screen. Optional equipment includes Infiniti's latest generation touch-screen navigation system with XM NavTraffic real-time traffic information, touch screen and a 9.5-gigabyte Music Hard Drive, an Adaptive Front lighting System, African rosewood trim, Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking and a Studio on Wheels upgrade audio system with 10-inch woofers and a head unit incorporating double oversampling 24-bit Burr Brown Digital Audio Converters. Front seat side impact airbags, curtain airbags, traction control, stability control and four-wheel-disc brakes with anti-lock control are standard. The '07 G35 sedan is available in five models: base, G35 Journey, G35x AWD, G35 Sport and G35 Sport 6MT, the latter being the most aggressive of the pack.
