G35

Whether you want your sports car to have two doors or four, rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive, and all with ample luxury, distinctive styling and impeccable performance, the mid-size rear-drive G35 fits the bill with distinction. Coupes are fitted with a sportier suspension for added cornering abilities and are essentially kinder/gentler versions of Nissan's 350Z that incorporate a small back seat. Changes for 2005 include an exterior freshening on four-door versions with a redesigned hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights, and wheels. Inside, all models benefit from a revamped instrument panel and console area that comes with a choice of standard aluminum or optional wood trim. The standard 3.5-liter V-6 engine now generates 277 horsepower in the sedan (the coupe remains rated at 280 horsepower), while a new Sport version of the coupe is fitted with a higher-output V-6 that boasts 295 horses. A five-speed automatic gearbox is standard, with a six-speed manual transmission also available. The G35x adds all-wheel-drive for added grip on slick surfaces while still maintaining a sporty demeanor, and is available only with the five-speed automatic.
