The Acadia
crossover is a new model for GMC. It comes standard with a new, 275-horsepower
3.6-liter V-6 and six-speed automatic, and is available with either front- or
all-wheel drive. Third-row seating and room for up to eight passengers is
available. GM’s Smart Slide second-row seating system aids passenger access to
the third-row seats. This vehicle offers 116.9 cubic feet of cargo space when
the second- and third-row seats are folded and 19.7 cubic feet behind the
third-row seat when it’s in the upright position. Standard and optional
equipment includes heated outside mirrors, intermittent rear wiper, ultrasonic
parking assist, power liftgate, extended-range remote vehicle starting system,
heated windshield washer fluid, a power-operated tilt-and-slide sunroof with
rear skylight, DVD entertainment system, DVD-based navigation system, and Bose
5.1 Surround Sound Audio system. The Acadia
also offers an exclusive heads-up display (HUD) that projects instrument
readouts and other features onto the windshield for easy, eyes-on-the-road
reference. All Acadias come standard with seat-mounted side-impact airbags for
front seat passengers, full-row curtain airbags and GM’s StabiliTrak
traction/stability control system with rollover mitigation technology, as well
as a tire-pressure monitoring system.
