The bigger, bolder, and more powerful members of the F-Series family of full-size pickups feature more rugged-looking exteriors than the F-150, with stronger available powertrains and added hauling and towing abilities. For 2007, new features and equipment include a new Lariat Highline Edition for SuperCab models and a Lariat Outlaw Package for Crew Cab models. In addition, a cloth 40/20/40-split bench seat is now available on XL models and a 4.10:1 non-limited-slip axle is now standard on F-250 and single-rear-wheel (SRW) F-350 with the 5.4L Triton V-8. Three fresh color combinations are offered with the Harley-Davidson special edition — Black with Medium Wedgewood Blue Flames, Medium Wedgewood Blue with Black Flames and Dark Stone with Black Flames. The standard engine in the F250 is a 300-horsepower 5.4-liter V-8 engine teamed with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. An 6.8-liter V-10 engine offers 362 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. For even more grunt, a 6.0-liter PowerStroke diesel powerplant is available optionally; it offers 570 lb-ft of torque and 325 hp and meets 50-state emissions regulations. A unique TowCommand System that includes an integrated electric trailer brake controller is available. All F-250 and F-350 Super Duty models include driver and front passenger airbags, Ford’s BeltMinder system and anti-lock brakes. Properly equipped, an F-350 Super Duty can tow nearly 13,000 pounds.
