Ford’s smallest passenger car continues with only slight changes for 2007. The front-drive Focus is available in both sedan and hatchback body styles and in base S, SE, SES, and ST trim levels. Updates include a new standard audio system with single-disc CD player and MP3 capability, an optional Street Appearance Package with rally-style rear decklid spoiler, fog lights, and chrome exhaust tip; leather-trimmed sport seats with contrasting leather inserts are also available and there are new exterior colors — Kiwi Green and Aqua Blue Clearcoat Metallic. The standard Focus engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that engine generates 136 horsepower; it can be coupled to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. A performance-minded ST sedan is fitted with a stiffer suspension, a 151-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and a five-speed manual transaxle. Models with the Street Appearance package get a more aggressive, customized look. Alloy wheels are offered as a standalone option on S and SE models. Seat-mounted, side-impact airbags are optional on all trims.
