2004 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti

All new for 2005, the elegant, exclusive and expensive 612 Scaglietti four-passenger coupe is the first Ferrari of its kind to be constructed entirely from aluminum. The front-mounted V-12 engine generates a mind-boggling 540-horsepower and is mated to either a six-speed manual or Formula One-like automatic gearbox with paddle shifters mounted just behind the steering wheel. The car's active-damping, variable-calibration suspension allows a choice between normal and stiffer "sport" settings. Similarly, its stability and traction control systems can be selected for either normal motoring or set in Sport mode to afford the driver more hands-on control before either system intervenes. Items like a tire pressure monitor, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and a Bose audio system that automatically equalizes itself according to background noise all come standard.
