The 2008 Chrysler Crossfire hasn’t been tested completely by reputable sources, but it does offer a good array of safety equipment.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has tested the Crossfire coupe’s side-impact protection and awarded it five stars. For both the coupe and convertible, the Crossfire earned five stars for rollover resistance. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), though, has not tested the Crossfire.

The 2008 Chrysler Crossfire comes with standard all-speed traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes, as well as dual front and side airbags. Cars.com commends the 2008 Chrysler Crossfire for work done in the safety arena, such as "adding knee airbags for the driver and passenger." Chrysler also makes the "driver's front airbag a multi-stage deployment one."

Edmunds notes a bevy of 2008 Crossfire standards, including "brake assist, traction control and stability control." Cars.com reports that the Chrysler Crossfire also "enters 2008 with a tire pressure monitoring system as standard equipment." ConsumerGuide points out that a spare tire is not included, though: "A plug-in air compressor and a can of tire sealant are provided instead."

Visibility is an issue in Crossfire coupes, due to “gigantic blind spots that come along with the Crossfire's 'boattail' rear styling,” Edmunds observes.
