SRX

This crisply styled mid-size crossover sport-utility vehicle is built off the same platform as the rear-drive CTS and STS sports sedans, which gives it a sportier feel than most SUVs usually afford. Its ride and handling qualities are further enhanced by a fully independent suspension and the longest wheelbase in its class. The base engine is an aluminum double overhead cam 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 255 horsepower, while a 320-horsepower 4.6-liter version of Cadillac's Northstar V-8 is also available. GM's StabiliTrak electronic stability system comes standard, and Magnetic Ride Control is optional. The SRX's interior is roomy, attractive, and functional, and can hold as many as seven passengers with the optional power-folding third-row seat. A navigation system is standard on the V-8 version and is optional with the V-6. For 2006, the SRX receives a standard power rear liftgate, and an enhanced optional wood-trimmed interior package. Restyled 17-inch and 18-inch wheels feature a more aggressive design with six exposed lugs. Also new is a Cashmere interior scheme and new exterior colors that include Stealth Grey, Radiant Bronze, Blackberry, and Infrared.
