Terraza

Introduced last year, the Terraza crossover sport van, sports more aggressive styling and a slightly higher ride height than the typical minivan, and shares platforms and components with the Chevrolet Uplander, Pontiac Montana SV-6, and Saturn Relay. For 2006, front-drive versions will receive an added dose of under-hood power later in the model year, thanks to a new 3.9-liter V-6 with variable valve timing that produces 235 horsepower; all-wheel-drive models continue with the 200-hp. 3.5-liter version. Both are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel-disc brakes are standard, and its suspension benefits from self-leveling rear shock absorbers and large 17-inch wheels and tires. All-wheel drive is available, while front-drive models can be ordered with GM's Stabilitrak stability control system. Leather seating for seven passengers with first- and second-row captain's chairs, a flat-folding 50/50-split rear seat, and the OnStar communications/safety system are among the vehicle's many standard features. New for 2006 is a head-curtain airbag system for first- and second-row outboard occupants; it's standard on the top CXL and is optional on the base CX model. In addition, Buick increased its bumper-to-bumper warranty coverage to four years or 50,000 miles on all 2006 models.
