The mid-size LaCrosse sedan was added to Buick’s lineup in 2005, replacing the Regal and Century. For 2007, the LaCrosse is updated with some interior tweaks, including new gauge cluster graphics and Harvest Burl wood trim. All models get a tire pressure monitor and there are four new colors — Midnight Blue Metallic, Stone Gray Metallic, Midnight Amethyst Metallic, and Red Jewel Tintcoat. The latest version of GM’s OnStar communication system with “turn by turn” navigation assistance is also available. Base CX, CXL, and top-of-the-line CXS trims are offered. CX and CXL trims come with a 200-horsepower 3.8-liter V-6 engine, while the sport-oriented CXS model offers a 3.6-liter V-6 with variable valve timing and 240 horsepower. A four-speed automatic transmission is the only available gearbox. The LaCrosse can be equipped with StabiliTrak stability control, rear parking assist, a remote engine-starting system, and XM satellite radio. Side-impact airbags and anti-lock brakes are standard across the line.
