The BMW 7-Series has long duked it out with the Mercedes S-Class for Germany's top honors. The current S-Class is less visually appealing than this new Bimmer, though the S-Class does come in AMG-gone-wild editions. The Audi A8 is an aluminum-framed car with more conservative looks but a surprisingly nimble feel; it's offered in short- and long-wheelbase versions, as are the Jaguar XJ and Lexus LS.
