A sporty A-Spec package is newly available for the European-flavored TSX sedan in 2005 that enhances its handling and appearance. The option group consists of high performance shocks and springs, lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels with upgraded tires, and an aero kit that consists of an air dam, chin spoiler, side skirts, and a choice of either a decklid or rear-wing spoiler. (For those who prefer the added grip, but on a more stealth-like basis, the suspension upgrades are also available separately without the aero kit.)

Otherwise, few changes are in order for '05. Its 2.4-liter powerplant with electronic "drive-by-wire" throttle produces a peppy 200 horsepower and can be mated to a standard close-ratio six-speed manual or five-speed Sequential SportShift automatic transmission. Side-curtain airbags, and Vehicle Stability Assist and traction control systems are included, along with many standard amenities. A voice-activated navigation system is optional.

The yearling finds its place in the world - and it's just south of the TL.
