The seven-passenger MDX crossover SUV is all-new for 2007. Standout features of this model include a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6 engine — a major uptick over the previous generation MDX that significantly improves acceleration and gives the MDX a maximum tow rating of 5000 pounds. 2007 models also get a new-design five-speed Sequential Sport Shift automatic transmission, along with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drivesystem. This is a full-time AWD system that distributes the optimum amount of torque not only between the front and rear axles but also between the left and right rear wheels to help control yaw throughout a turn. The system works with standard VSA stability and traction control. ABS brakes with Electronic Brake Distribution and Brake Assist are also standard. A Sport Package with auto-damping suspension is available. All models come standard with leather trim, 18-inch wheels, three-zone automatic climate control system with humidity control and air filtration, a Multi-Information Display, HandsFreeLink wireless telephone interface that connects with Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone, 253-watt Acura Premium Sound System with AM/FM tuner, six-disc in-dash CD, MP3, WMA changer, XM satellite radio, eight speakers, and an auxiliary jack for iPods and personal audio devices
