2014 Toyota Tundra vs. Its Competition

Like the competition, there seems to be a Tundra model for everyone.

That said, GM's new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra offer updated powertrains and new technology--and GM has a proven history of delivering capable trucks for towing and hauling from the lake to the job site.

Ford's F-150 offers the most advanced powertrains in the truck segment thanks to its EcoBoost turbo V-6, and it offers more in-vehicle technology options than most of the rest of the segment.

For 2013 the Ram 1500 received a slick new eight-speed automatic transmission, a new V-6 engine, and an upgraded cabin--which has made it the new benchmark for those who need a pickup, but don't necessarily need it to perform heavy-duty tasks.
