The Kizashi, when it was originally launched, was at the large end of compact, but several models, including the Chevrolet Cruze, Volkswagen Jetta, and Ford Focus have been introduced since then, all around the same size.
Compared to these, the Kizashi has a slightly more mature, internationally flavored sport-sedan feel, and its interior appointments might be taken for those in a base Audi A4 or Acura TSX.
The Kizashi doesn't rival the level of tech in the new Ford Focus, but it has a somewhat heftier, more secure feel on the road.
Compared to the Chevrolet Cruze, the Kizashi feels more sophisticated and sporty.
We think that the last-generation Volkswagen Jetta had a lot of influence on the Kizashi, but in an odd twist, the latest version of the Jetta comes up short at the base level, due to cost-cutting.
The Subaru Legacy has an all-wheel-drive challenger in the Kizashi, too; and the Kizashi feels a little sportier than the Legacy in its base guise.
Both the Kia Optima and Forte sedans offer a lot of value for the money, and have some of the same well-detailed Euro-style appeal.
